A few mouse issues

First here's a few helpful specs:
Microsoft wireless comfort keyboard...intellitype v6.0
Microsoft wireless optical mouse 2.0...intellipoint v6.20
Windows vista ultimate x64

1. This has been happening for a few months since i've had this keyboard/mouse combo; slow/no reaction to middle click, which is annoying to pan in autodesk inventor since it takes a second for the click to register if at all, but goes with all apps... so far I have reinstalled drivers and software for the mouse, and switched from usb to ps/2 just to see what happens.

2. Just started happening today; my mouse has started to "interrupt" keyboard actions so I can't type while the mouse is moving, or the mouse will interrupt the keyboard. Mainly evident in games, but equally annoying in other applications...

These are wireless, correct?

Try replacing the batteries.

Look at the Intellipoint software to see your signal. If it's low then I would change your batteries to see what happens.

Also make sure the receiver is away from objects that cover it up and also don't put the KB/Mouse close to the receiver.
