a few years ago i made some home videos dvd's by transfering my home videos off of my DV tapes with my camcorder onto my pc and using windows movie maker and nero to make dvd movies out of them. i burnt them onto dvd's. i don't have the dvd movies i made on my computer anymore, i just have the dvd's i made.
what is the fastest way (free too please) to rip my home movies back off of the dvd's i made and keep them at a good quality for possible viewing on a big screen lcd tv someday, and for now, just to get them into a file format that i can import them into itunes to put onto an ipod nano?
right now, i'm ripping one of them using handbrake, using the apple universal setting (m4v i think it is), and it's painfully slow.
