You can pick up the kit for about 290. Koolance makes it.

Though you can build a much better kit yourself and for less by going with their supplied interior setup, but buying a different pump/rad/res.

And then buying a decent 350-400LPH pump, a small acrylic res, and a single 1x120 or 140 rad. Put a fan on it and call it a day. Don't forget tubing/fittings/liquid.

Yeah, it really is probably cheaper to buy a new one

£190 it'd cost for an elite with 120GB of space, or £199; only 9 quid more with Forza 3 and COD 4

They're 60mm fans and I wouldn't swap them for quieter ones because you have the possibility of reducing airflow. I'd check out the cooling modifications section of this page for some ideas. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=471958

Smaller fans that move a lot of air are never really quiet. The thing I see is the intake venting is not all that great and wonderful. Any way to mod that?

couold just get a external power supply and dreml a fan like 120 mm for intake and on for exhaust

I've always wondered about the sides of the console. I bet you theirs room there for 2 very large fans, that could replace the back ones.
