Question Fan control location in registry

anyone know the location of the fan control keys in the registry? (Windows XP Home Edition SP3). i have a old dell inspirion 8100 laptop and one of the dual fans is not coming on causing overheating. i bought a replacement fan off ebay, and took the whole laptop apart and replaced the fan, but it's still not working. i was hoping to check the registry keys to make sure they're not messed up. there has to be a way to control them because before the one fan stopped working all together, it would work intermitently so i downloaded a fan control utility that seemed to work a little, but i was still having issues with the fan not working right so i uninstalled it.

Default Re: Fan control location in registry

I have no idea where it would be in the registry.

Probably your best bet, 8 bucks is pretty steep though. I would look for a cheaper one or make your own.
