Default Re: F.E.A.R. Performance

Thanks mate

I'll download that then

I expect in that game, the way it was running, its probably within the 30's in FPS at High settings, though until that helicopter part comes up, I don't notice any slowdown. So it can't be bad

What I do get though is odd experiences with sound (doesn't bother me though) is slight clicks when sound is playing. Plus the machine gun doesn't seem to produce as much bass as i'd expect. It sounds more tinny than anything, and its not my speakers.

I suspect its my Sound Blaster Live card though... I mean, it maxes out at 128 sounds playing simultaniously I think.

I downloaded FRAPS, and its better than I expected:

(This was taken in the part with the shooting at the start on both counts)

Min Max Avg
45 71 55.458

(This was taken while the helicopter was arriving in the 3rd proper shooting scene):

Min Max Avg
23 55 35.865

Not bad I'm happy with my card now *smiles* Plus remember this is set teh same as before:

ALL high except for AA (0x), 800x600, with no smooth shadows.

Abit IP35 Pro / Q6600 G0 / Zalman 9700 / 8800GTS 640mb / 4x 2GB Corsair XMS / X-FI Xtreme M / 1x 1TB / Antec 900 / Logitech Z-5500 / Samsung 20inch
