Default Extremely Slow Computer

So heres the deal.

Last night I am on msn and I try to do remote assistance with one of my friends. He accepts and we make the connection. Then shortly after I get an error message (can't remember what it said) but it did say that it had to restart the computer, and gave me a minute countdown. So it restarted but the same message kept popping up. I started the computer in last good know configuration and everything seemed to be working fine. But the computer slowed down alot. I ran adware, syware, and anti virus programs in normal mode and safe mode but nothing helped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

I believe you got that worm that stops a file running when you start Windows up, somehow from that person you tried to link to.

But that worm is long gone now, or at least, I thought it was...

Don't worry about it guys. Got it fixed. I was reading another thread and it was talking about system restoring. So I restored the computer before I made the connected and that fixed it up. Didn't lose much at all. Thanks to cf thats another problem fixed.

Btw my specs are
-Amd athlon 3500+
-1 gb ram
-Geforcefx 6800gt 256mb
-160gb hard drive
