...extremely annoying problem

Hi, I am trying to fix this computer.. its got a Pentium4 2.4GHz CPU, Radeon 9600, 1Gig of PC2100 Ram, 500W PSU, 20GB HDD, Windows XP Pro.

The problem is: every time i start the computer up, it gets to the Windows menu where you select which account you want to go on... and then it restarts.

The only way i can get on the computer, is starting it up in Safe mode, or Safe mode with networking (where it works perfectly fine)

Someone plz help

... srry im stupid and didnt think of system restore. I am still a little curious of what the problem was, but i system restored to like 2 months ago
