Default Extra RAM

Hey guys,
I just got a new Sony VAIO SZ480, and I want to add another GB of Ram onto it. How would I go about it? Should I just go to Sony's website and buy one?

Thanks,
T

Can you check to see how many sticks of RAM are already installed?? Either physically check or you can use CPU-Z and look under the SPD tab:

Goto www.crucial.com and scan your system. It will give you the memory options and prices for the RAM.

Just go on Newegg or Zipzoomfly and find RAM with corresponding speeds.

The laptop doesn't have any empty RAM slots. You'll need to buy 2 new 1 GB sticks if you want 2 GB, like this:

$114? That's not as much as I thought it would be. This fits into any computer right?

If so, I am just gonna go ahead and buy it.
