Default external hd

i am looking to buy one of the above in order to transfer some files from my pc to free up some space. i have seen some which are very cheap like 30 can anyone suggest if there are any things i should look out for, or avoid

sorry not quite sure what you mean, i am just looking for a hd to transfer files onto in order to get them of my puter and make some room, and, of course, keep them safe

well any make should be fine, although id go with some of the more well known ones like western digital myself. for 30 you wont be able to get much more than a 160gb one (thats internet prices, although ive seen 500gb ones for around 80 in the shops so they aint too badly priced)
