So been having major issues with my Western Digital 3TB External Hard Drive. Using Windows 7 on a dell computer.
Certain programs on it will run for a short period, but then crash... sometimes causing my entire computer to hang up...
It has had some physical trauma in the past (tipping over, slightest bump does it
), but this hasn't happened lately. The problems just started like two days ago, very sudden. Once I was sure it was my Hard Drive that was the source, I tried to run the disk check. First time I ran it it froze mid-scan. Now when I try to run the scan it grays out for a moment, then closes automatically... so I have no idea how I'm going to fix it. So I came to ask some experts here... Please help me save my HD!!!
