Default extending your wireless network range.

Can anybody give me tips on how to extend the range...my signal strength is always poor...the router is in my dads office and im a little more than a room away...help!

buy a more powerful router
move closer
try get a more direct line from router (ie through less walls if you can)
move your receiver

Get a wireless access point or wireless repeater:

They basically extend a wireless network's range, among other things.
