Question Exceeding Memory?

I have a question. I tried looking for the answer but didnt find it. I have an VPR Matrix 180R that I'm doing alot of upgrades to. I have 768MB of Ram right now. About a year ago I bought one stick of 512MB and added it with one of my 256MB. I didnt get two 512's because I thought my computer didnt allow me to go pass 1 Gig of Ram. ***Read More After Viewing Pictures and Links Below***

^^^But then I see this and I dont know what to think.^^^(This is a Adobe Document I found about my computer)

So can someone please help me. I would love for my computer to go over 1 gig of ram. My Motherboard only has two slots. So the most I can possibly have without changing the motherboard is 1024MB. So can I go over a gig or what? Thanks!

it says 2 gigs, thats how much it will hold. screw what the other thing says. BTW paring your memory example (2) 256 chips will actually be faster than say a 256 and a 512 becuase DDR works 10x betters in pairs. so get 2 512s and youll be good.
