Evga GTX 295

I've always been sketchy on purchasing a dual GPU card because none of them have really been as great as a single gpu card, problem wise. I was thinking of doing a step up from an Evga GTX 285 to a 295 and I was wondering if the 295 is a good card, i know its good performance wise but I do not want to have problems like the 9800GX2 did.

Are the drivers good ? Heat issues, i prefer a reply from a person that actually owns one but if you are certain about what you know about the card, please let me know. The GTX 350 is nothing but a rumor and was supposed to be released at the end of 2008 but to this day it is still something rumored so im not looking into that much right now.
