well my friend has 1.5Gb of ram, P4 3.0 Ghz and a 6800GT (agp) and he said that he can run it with 800x600 with high settings. So I'd say that the 6800 is going to do the job quite well.

Yeah, should do the trick, may be alot better on lower settings though...mainly resolution

I have the 6800GS. Resoloutions don't seem to matter much with the card, even running at Medium/High settings. On Need For Speed Most Wanted for example, switching resoloutions to a really high one only loses me about 5fps.

I have no doubt that it'll be able to run it.

Having an LCD monitor, I have no choice but to run it at 1280x1024, or else it looks like Morrowind. MY x300 can't run it unless its at 800x600, which makes the game, well, five years old. That should be enough to run it well at 1280x1024, but you arent going to be able to put any effects or drawing distances on high, which really puts a dampering on the experience. Even though, you're still going to have a great time playing it.

Mines LCD too and looks best at 1280x1024, but it doesn't look bad lower than that really. If a game can't run at 1280x1024, a resoloution like 1024x768 or 1152x864 shouldn't look too bad.

But I agree that the native resoloution definietly adds clarity to the image.

Good luck with that. I have Oblivion and it is very demanding. I can't run it on very high settings at 1280x1024.
