yeah avg is the best out there in my opinion. It's caught stuff that symnatec hasn't on mine.

hahaha yeah i got onto the forums via firefox. everything actually works fine except for those things. Does this mean, though, that a virus could do something bad to my computer soon? I downloaded AVG once and it went into this creepy DOS mode on startup and did a scan but just got stuck and never moved on, forcing me to startup in safe mode and remove it.

I'd really rather not use any program that goes into DOS/fullscreen. its kinda freaky. :P if AVG does have a graphical and MANUAL mode (so it wont automatically do it on boot), then I'll try it out.

i dont know why your avg scan whent into "creepy dos mode" iv been using it a while now and it has never messed up once i have no compalints about it. ask a mod about that or if you see kage around ask him hes crazy smart.
