Everyone, Let's try and guess what's wrong with my computer...

Yeah, I know. I can't believe people pay that much for some of that stuff. But yeah, as for the laptop, I doubt it would cost more to fix than to replace. If there is damage, it's either the CPU or one of the fans, and both of those components are easily replaceable. Though unlikely, it is also possible that the fan controllor portion of the motherboard is damaged making it necessary to replace it. In that case, it might be more expensive to repair, but like I said, it's unlikely. It could also just be some dust in the airway or a loosened connection between the processor and heatsink.
