Power Supply (w case): 2 12v Rails, each with 2 molex and 1 Floppy (4 molex, 2 floppy total) 2 Sata power connectors, on one rail. 20+4 pin main power connector ONE(1) 4pin MB connector ONE(1) 6pin PCI connector

Keep in mind that I've been out of the comp hardware loop for like 5 years. I'm trying to build a computer that will handle HD movies and run any games DECENTLY, but I'm not looking to play FPS games so I don't need MAD graphics. I'm mostly interested in whether the products are reliable and actually fit together and I have enough power, memory, etc to last me for the next 5 years.

My price roof is $850, including a 24" LCD 1080p TV (not shown).

Thanks guys.

WOW, 5 years?!?! any computer will be outdated in 5 years lol

yeah, u can overclock intel dual cores like no other, that will give u lots of overhead... 4gb of ram, good....

u might want to go to like a 9800 gtx+ / gts 250 if u want it to last u longer

make ur dvd drive SATA not IDE

bigger hard drive (500gb+)

other than that, looks good.... nice case pick

I added everything up and it came to $517.

CPU: Phenom II X2 550

The Phenom II X2 550 will be particularly appealing to gamers as it was considerably faster than the Core 2 Duo E7400. It also managed to deliver roughly the same level of gaming performance as the Phenom II X4 910. So the Phenom II X2 550 makes real sense for gamers on a budget as it allows them to spend more money where it's really needed, like on a more powerful GPU, for example.

More interesting I find to be the fact that the Phenom II X2 550 BE is coming awfully close in performance to the 165 USD Core 2 Duo E8400 processor from Intel.
Motherboard: ASRock 790GX
RAM: DDR2 1066 2x2GB
GPU: HD 4830
PSU: OCZ 500W
Case: CM Elite 330
Disk drive: SATA.
HDD: The same as you picked out if you're sure you don't need anymore space (250GB's only about $2 more).

That would snap up your proposed build, chew it up and spit it out, especially the 9500GT

this is an excellent build for that price, I was also just about to comment that you should take a look at the psu included in the case deal, case + psu deals usually include crap psus (except Antec combos), that OCZ is a decent unit, I have one running in the kids' system right now, though I wish it had more molex connectors...

The Phenom II X2 550 AM3 is backwards compatible with socket AM2+ motherboards. As are all socket AM3 CPUs.

ehh; I'd just call it a Q8300 and be done. The Q83 is a lower end Intel quad, but it kicks hard. Then again, you all know I'm a hardcore Intel fan. xD
