Default Ethernet Cable

hey I was wondering if you could take and ethernet cable and turn it into cable you can watch on tv if the ethernet cable is connected through a router?

There are things to do something like your talking about...ARG...but I can't remember what they're called. Been out of Cisco too long.

Anyway, no, you can't. Cable and networking are 2 totally different things. You can convert different type of networks though...there is one that uses coax cable just like cable tv...

Yeah - I've never heard of that. Certainly not through an Ethernet Cable...

You can do it through S-Video Cables but that has to be in a Computer.

im not sure about your question but i saw something on techtv that you can mod the cable and you can make it supply power to something like a phone

I thought phones ran off 110 V.....that woulb be interesting to see that set up though.
