My dad keeps getting this error message what do it mean?


Motobox Laucher Fatal Error- is at the top of the box

Hooking DLL Error- is in the middle


then it has a button that says "ok"

It's a virus.

Run a FULL Virus scan.

we have already ran norton antivirus on a full system scan and we have used mcafee too. so will we have to just wipe out the system or are there anything else we can try?

what are you trying to do when the error occurs?

Is it on logon? When a certain application is started? :S

well it will just pop up anytime even when the computer is at idle for hours, and no perticular software will make it pop up, it just does when ever it wants.

Hey,

Have you got any installed programs that have anything in their names to do with motobox? It sounds like an application is trying to open but cannot find the files needed to run.

What programs have you got running at startup? To check go to:

Start
Run
Type (without quotes) "msconfig"
Click on Startup

List anything that is starting up on the forums.

Also, go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ download the app. It is a virus scanner that is pretty much up to date.

Quick Tip:

If the virus is preventing a any virus scan to run download the program rkill.exe and it allow you to run scans without the virus from blocking it.

Also i reccomend using the program malwarebytes. This scan always finds the issue when friends asks me to "fix" their computers and removes the malware and virus.
