Default erasing DVD

when using Nero i noticed that i can erase my DVDs and CDs. well i click on it it sees that there is a CD or DVD in my disk drive but it won't let me erase?

btw if my other thread about the S-Video Cable shows up on her. Mods can you close it because i found out what to do.

You can only "erase" re-writable DVDs and CDs.

I assume you are talking about re-writeable cd's/dvd's?

Anyway, Nero 6-7 has a CD/DVD erasing utility in the Nero Smart Start - Extras section.

Or alternatively, you could just right click on your CD/DVD drive and click erase this cd/dvd.

are DVD+Rs rewritable?

EDIT: nvm only DVD-RWs are. thanks anyway guys.
