What virus scan are you running? Try downloading different AV/Spyware programs. COMODO, Spybot, SUPERantispyare, and AVG are a couple of the good ones I've used.

COMODO Firewall is really annoying. I used to recommend it but all you really need is Spybot. I also stopped using COMODO AV because it was conflicting with some of the programs I had. AVG & Spybot are the best for me, however don't think the other two are bad. CCleaner could also do a little bit of help.

Don't forget to update them as soon as you install.

Bad idea. csrss is not a virus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Client/...time_Subsystem

smss is not a virus either. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smss

Csrss, however, is exploitable by a Trojan, but keep your anti-virus up to date, and it should be ok.

Aren't they processes vital to the OS? I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure.

Beware of svchosts. It's a nasty little one.
