Encoding AVI's to be viewable on DVD players...

I see DVD's on sites like limitedclassics.com, and I see them fitting 8-9 episodes of things that are 250MB each, so they work on regular DVD players. How do they fit all that on a DVD? I try but I can only get 5-6 episodes on a DVD. What software do you use to get more on a DVD? Thanks!

Sorry, miss read, the one and only software I use to convert AVI to DVD is Nero Vision Express.

they compress the files onto the DVD. i have heard of this program while searching around for conversions and stumbled along this. i haven't used it yet so i don't know what you are going to get but i hope this helps

no they use dual layer technology *gigs, consumers have now just been allowed to use it, they have had it the whole time we have been using the standard DVD-Rs.

haha i know... i got a dual layer drive a few months ago, thinking i was going to be using it alot, and i havent burnt a single dual layer disc yet, all i have done is single layers...
