Is it a email from somebody he knows personally or is it a email from some website?

When you register for ANYTHING that you need to supply your email, there is usually a few check boxes towards the bottom of the registration, that say soemthign along the lines of, "Send me the latest news on blah blah" or something like that. Since you obviously alerady have the emails coming in, you could block the email depending on what you use. One thing I reccomend NOT to do, is insie of the email click the "Don't send this to me anymore" Usually, that is bs, and just gives your email out to other people.
