Default Email & Calendar/scheduler

Can anyone recommend a good email & calendar program, so i can add appointments and meetings and recieve alerts and reminders.
I have tryed Outlook but i dont really like it.
any help is appreciated.

does anyone know if Pegasus Mail has a build in calendar/scheduler?

Thunderbird is about the only other Outlook like application, that has a calendar. From when I last used it did not have a scheduler.

Now if you were using Linux. I would recommend you to use Evolution, this will, if ever ported over to Windows knock Outlook off it's perch.
