eMachine Desktop PC. (T6522) -- Is it worth it?

Well, I'm open to suggestions for something else.

I'm looking for just a tower for gaming. AMD proccesor, 1gb of ram, PCI-E slots, and I'm satisfied with anything over 80GB for my hard drive. Doesn't need a fancy video card, as I've already bought a card. I'm on an 800 dollar budget.

Thanks.

Foxconn isn't the greatest, but they make some nice budget boards. I heard that Dell uses Foxconn boards too...meh.

$800 budget is pretty tight for a good gaming system. That HP isn't bad, but once you start configuring it, the final price will usually be higher than expected. I'll see if I can put together a system for you later on. I've got a test tomorrow in Managerial Statistics.

When mine was all added up, it went to a total of 1,412 USD. They had a sale last week, the D4100e was 699.99 starting price, so wait until their next promotion arrives :)

Cheers!

Ok, here's what I scrounged up for around $800 or less. This system is pretty good for everything. Not the best gamer computer, but it will do nicely for all games. Now you say you have a video card already so I'm not including that. Just make sure that your card is a PCI-e compatible graphics board:

This system will OWN. Pretty good for the price. Damn...San Diego core!!! TOtal cost: $637.25 not including tax but I did calulate shipping already.

If you still want a video card, get this one:

Add $274 to that order. I included the rebate for the video card too. It comes with a analog RGB to DVI convertor so don't worry about compatibility. It will work.

I bet it's ASUS. If I open the box and finds that it's from ASRock, then I shall return it...I hate these mobos

What's wrong with ASRock? They're not widely known, but they make some great budget boards. The ULi chipset is awesome...PCI-E AND AGP support along with SATA II support! :D All for a great price...glorious.

Came out to be $653.50 (tax included), and with card its about $962.73-- If I turn back the video card that I have now, however, it should only cost me $750.

Perfect. Thank you.
