Default emachine

hey there everyone , i was wandering,my emachines mother board fried i guess cause thats what the emachine customer service told me, can i use the cd and dvd roms and the memory or anything from it to build or add on to my dell 8200 or even get a differant computer and mix them to make one?

yeah you could definitely do that as long as the hardware wasn't damaged. chances were the damage remained within the motherboard. plug the ram and cd drives into your dimension 8200 and give em a try. if your system goes from x mb to x+x mb great, if it doesn't.. apparently it wasn't just ur motherboard that was fried.

yeah, you can take the cd drive, hard drives and even the vid card if it has one and assuming that none of that was damaged. but you can't swap the memory and cpu between a dell and emachines unless they have the exact same specs. Honestly, I would just take the cd drives and hard drives out of the emachines and throw it away.
