I want to get this!
and I'm sure I'm going to need some thermal paste,

(I don't know what paste to get does this work?

Um the question I have is how to install this? Do I just remove the old processor put the new one in and apply thermal paste to the top of it and put the new heat sink on? how much paste do i put n the processor?

will i have to do any thing in the bios once I put the new processor on? or can i just start up the pc and hope it works?

Okay next question I am going to usehe EVGa step up program and step up from my 9800Gt 512MB to an EVGA GTX 260 896MB DDR 3 card woot cant wait!!!

pic here!(http://www.evga.com/PRODUCTS/IMAGES/GALLERY/896-P3-1255-AR_LG_1.jpg)

i know its minimum power requirements are at least a 500 Watt power supply I only have a 450 Watt, I want at least a 550 watt or 600Watt power supply any to 6 pin connector,(i know that it comes with those other cables that plug into the GPU and into the power supply it has to be ATX Can someone please recommend me a good power supply? maybe from Egg or Tiger? Thanks

Bestbuy has this one-
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...upply&lp=5&type=product&cp=1&id=1218011396273

But I'm sure one for a cheaper price could be found online right?

Thanks for all the help :)

The CPU you selected is a retail unit and comes with a cooler. It will have thermal paste pre-applied so you wont need to buy any. No settings will need to be changed in the BIOS. Upon first boot the BIOS will recognize the CPU and automatically set the correct parameters.

Here's a much better power supply at a much better price: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ600SXS 600W - $69.99 ($39.99 after $30.00 Mail-In Rebate) w/Free Shipping

:D

EVGA Step-Up Program FAQs

Q: How long will the Step-Upâ„¢ Program take?
A: Once you have submitted your information and you are approved for the Step-Upâ„¢ Program, EVGA must receive your card with in 15 days. Once we receive your graphics card it will take 1-3 business days to process your step up submission. At this point any charge overage or underage will be assessed. Once this is completed your new card will be shipped to you.

From the above link:

Q: What is Step-Up?
A: EVGA's Step Up program allows you to protect your investment. Because technology can change so fast, EVGA offers this program to help you safeguard one of the most important pieces in your computer system: your video card.

Q: How does the Step-Upâ„¢ Program work?
A: Anytime within the first 90 days after your original date of purchase you can step up your video card to a new card graphics card from our website at http://evga.com/products/ of greater value.

Q: How long is the Step-Upâ„¢ Program good for?
A: The initial request for a Step-Up must be submitted within the first 90 days from the date of purchase. In the event that the Step-Up product is backordered, the request will be placed in a queue until such time that there is available stock to process the Step-Up request, during which nothing is required to be sent, including the invoice or the return card. Once available, an email will be sent out to notify that the Step-Up request can be continued.

Q: How much is Step-Up?
A: The Step-Upâ„¢ Program is free; you are required to pay the difference between your original invoice price, less any applicable rebates, and the price of the new card, plus any applicable tax and shipping. The program itself has no cost associated with it.

Example:
EVGA e-GeForceFX 5700Ultra $219.99
Retail Priced e-GeForceFX 5200* -$99.99

+ Tax & Shipping

It's a program where you can send in your vidoe card for a new one. They will discount the original price you paid for your card from the newer card, essentially giving you a discount towards a better graphics card.
