Sony ones are usually good, but it depends what style your going for.
I have some ones that cap over your ears rather than go into them, because ones like that dont seem to fit me.
They cost me 10 quid in one shop, while in another they were 30!
When buying headphones, look for the frequency response.
Of course, the lower bass, even though most players won't support it, it shows that the headphones are more durable and so the sound should be punchier.
So for instance, we are supposed to not be able to hear under 20hz, and above 20,000hz, but many headphones have frequency responses of 18hz-22,000hz for example, and so, you know these would fill the entire range, and powerfully too.
Also, if you can get Neodymium magnet ones which are the newest in technology for drivers, you'l get better bass and clearer treble (most use these now I think anyway)
