Default e6750 vs q6600

i am now down to the point where i have to consider the price... the 6600 oc is definately better... but is the 100 more actually worth it? even in the long run?

It really depends the hardware you are using it with, and what applications will you use it for.

Just get the quad core. You'll be years ahead of everyone. For gaming, you'll hear the usual, "better use E6750, blah, blah". What I don't understand with people is that a quad core is double the dual core. Even if games aren't meant to utilize all four cores, so what?!?! The other cores will be idle and left to do other processes while the remaining cores can concentrate on gaming. Q6600 are just as fast and just as capable as the E6750, if not more.
