Wait let me remember this from XP since it looks like your using XP.
Try going to properties and somewhere it says hardware acceleration and such and if its too low it turns off accelerated graphics. I completely forgot the XP properties window so sorry if thats not the problem then sorry for that. Its just worth a try.
I would still try new drivers, or even re-installing your current ones. Just because they work for every other thing, doesn't mean it's not the cause here.
