hey everyone im bac,i took a break for a while but who cares?anyway i was wonderin if anyone noes if ati has made a dx10 card thats 512mb yet,cuse im lookin to buy a new comp...

Though, unless you have reasons why to stick with ATI, you'd probably be better off with a 640MB 8800GTS from nVidia, or a GTX if you're willing to shell out a bit more cash.

Theres still issues that AMD/ATI has yet to sort out with GDDR4, I don't think we'll be seeing it anytime soon, by soon I mean a few months at least.

The GTX is 768MB; the GTS is 640MB or 320MB. But, amount of memory aside, the GTX is overall much better. That doesn't mean the GTS is bad though by any means.

the gtx also has more pipelines
but the 640 mb gts is amazing i got it

i was looking at reviews for the evga 8800GTX and there was a lot of complaints about the card running hot.If i got one would i have to worry about it melting in my case?cuse i dont think i want to put an extra fan in the case but the one i was looking at has a 250mm fan and a 80mm fan,so it should be ok but if i get a basic case will it get too hot?
