dvd +rw reading problems

i have a dvd +re-writer and when i copy stuff to a disc and then try to use it on my laptops dvd rom it does not always read properly. The copy dvds play in my dvd player but not in my laptop. Please could someone advise as to whether there is anything i can do to make it read them???

Only this,read the help files.Set options to be able to be read elsewhere.
It's easy if you stay with burner defaults.You messed up i think.
