DVD+RW & GSA-4163B question!?!?!

Are you saying that your burner doesn't read you DVD RW discs and you can't burn anything to it, or are you saying that your DVD player can't read the discs that you have burnt from your burner? if its the latter, its very true, not all DVD players are compatible with DVD + and - media. Due to the major company's indecision there are two different types of DVD media, and as a general rule of thumb DVD - media is the most compatible one with stand-alone DVD players while DVD+ media are used for archiving data. If its the former, then there is something wrong with your drive and I advise you to take it back to where you bought it.

thanx for the reply elitehacker but I am positive it has nothing to do with the drive...I have no trouble with any other disks..it just seems this one dvd+rw (only rw disk I have ever tried) will not be read by the drive and I was wondering if it had to do with the manufacturer? if some dvd+rw's were not compatitiable with certain dvd drives???

Thanx
