Default dvd rom drives

Is it possible to have two dvd rom drives and dvdwriter running on the same computer? i have just replaced my dvd rom drive(set as master) as it would no longer read my discs, but was wandering if i could still have an extra drive aswell

As long as you have enough IDE connectors for them, you can have as many as you like.

You can get SATA ones aswell, if your mobo supports it

ive been stripping down my old dvd rom and considering trying it on the computer as i have the space, and i think theres some spare connecters

I do have one slight problem it appears to have a part broken off buy i cant find where from, it looks a bit like a gold magnetic washer,very small but its in pieces any ideas?
