Default DVD-RAM Driver

I am planning on upgrading to windows vista, and the upgrade advisor tells me to delete the dvd-ram driver. What does the dvd-ram driver do, and will I be able to view dvd's without it?

Thanks

Hey, give us some time to read this and reply. No need to bump after six minutes.

The DVD-RAM driver is for the DVD burner in your computer. Why they would want that removed, idk. I wouldn't think you could upgrade without it...
