Default DVD playing issue >.>

Mind you, this isn't for me. I have MCE'05 and therefore have zero problems playing any DVD's.

I have a friend who can't get DVD's to play right now. I'm fairly sure it's a lack of codecs for him or lack of a good player. He has a DVD drive and i'm sure of that because I put it in. It's Windows XP Pro on his computer. I've given him some codec packs in hopes of those allowing him to play DVD's. But Windows Media player, RealPlayer, and QuickTime all still won't let him. What sort of codecs/players do you guys know of that are free and not demo versions?

Thanks, Grantofhell.

VLC is my favorite.
It also allows DVD ripping.

Haha. It's a GIF now. PedoBear is sneaky.

No, I don't have a Core2Extreme, But the Core2Quad logo is too common here.

Thanks for these posts, guys.
