DVD/CD Burner Problem, Please Help!

Nah but i have a TDK burner + cds and memorex...works a treat. Id never touch a NEC burner again..or their terrible LCD monitors

I got the NEC but it was under the "Mad Dog" name. I ahd no clue I was gettign an NEC!! cheap one off tigerdirect.

I use memorex discs and I rarely run into problems only 15 bad ones in teh past 5 years with memeorex.

thanks for the replys, i'd rather not buy another burner, i bought the 500 some odd dollar dell full service plan. I'm using some sony cdrs that worked great before. My speeds are set on max, i'm going to try setting it on like 24x or something, and give that a try, thanks for the info, keep it comin

yah, i use memorex also for CD-R & DVD'S

I have not made any coaster's w/this brand....

I'm a bit confused, I bought a lite on DVD Burner about a week ago, and got two black DVD-R's with it, So I burned a DVD using one of them, Played it on my computer DVD Rom and it worked excellently

But when I played it on my stand alone DVD Player, The DVD kept freezing every 10 minutes

I burned another DVD using some wierd "Mr DVD" discs, and it worked fine, on both my computer and my DVD Player

But I've only got 10 of these discs, and They were a bit expensive (10 for £10, One pound each)

I need to buy some more, I'm thinking of buying some from this site-

if they are +R they wont work in regulsr dvd players. they must be -r formatted.

soem players however, support +r
