hi, im new to the site and need a little help with my laptop so any info would be appreciated. i have a tsst corp cdrw/dvd tsl462c drive in my laptop. i have been using the drive to put dvds on to my hard drive then after burning i delete the files. it used to rip the dvds in 30mn or less now it is extremely slow taking over 1hour minimum. and it speeds up then slows down. the buffer rate fluxuates radically from around 3mb to over 100mb its no longer constant. and the rate is 1,194+-KB/s. i've tried adjusting settings, removing old files. its still slow. any sugguestions on what would cause this. im using dvd shrink 3.2 then nero to burn. my external burner still burns fast. thanks

Are you sure that the increased ripping times aren't just because certain discs need compressing more?
