Question DVD Burner help

I think I have everything hooked up. I have an Asus A8V Deluxe VIA K8T800Pro socket 939 Motherboard, a LG 16X Dual Layer DVD-RW Drive, and a SONY CD-ROM DRIVE INTERNAL 52X. But when I enter BIOS it says not detected. Everything else works but I can't use the cd-rom or the dvd-rw.

Do you have your dvd and cd set on master and slave? And do you have them on the master and slave part of the cable?

Good call..

Check the IDE 1st.. On most IDE cables there is an orange or red stripe. This stripe needs to be on the #1 pin. The #1 pin is usally next to the molex powerplug.

Master vs Slave, make sure they are diffrent via Jumpers. Try making the DVD slvae, and old on master.

Was there only one drive in before the instilation?
