If you OC the CPU it over clock the ram at the same time. I have a P4 3.2 HT over clock about 5 percent which would make my cpu speed up to only 3.4 I know it a little but it made a big diffence. I did my testing using
everest home edition which is free and did a benchmark test before and after Over clocking and activating the dual mode ram

You OC you ram by etiehr changing timings or just easing you cpu fsb which will in trun raise the ram frequency if the ratio is 1:1

i see, thanks guys, after i get my ZALMMAN copper hsf im mite overclock my 3.0, how much do you think i can get it up to? 3.2?

i got my 3.2 stable at 3.6.....

I need more OC'able ram though

I can get it up to 3.8 but the heat it to high and besides I'm happy with 3.4 temperature goes up like 2 C

What temperatures you get on that jack22? are you using water cool?
