Are dual monitors worth it?

I work at a Japanese bank like Merrill Lynch and we use dual monitors there too. It really helps when you want to have multiple spreadsheets open or when you're running a lot of reports. It's useful at work, but I've never found myself wishing that I had a dual monitor set up when I work at home. Depends on what you do on your computer really.
