Default Dual monitors.

Hi, I have a HD5830 and a 22" monitor with a resolution of 1650 x 1080. I want to buy another monitor to have dual monitors. I have found one of a good price, but it is 18.5" and has a smaller resolution. If I buy it will the resolutions run independently so that they each run at their own resolution, or will they run at the lowest one, so that my 22" screen will look ***t?

Thanks

Monitors, as long as the video card supports more than one output, can run at their own resolution and refresh rate. This is standard on computers since before I can remember.
