ok THIS is my information.. if you need more please post.

-------------------DEVICE MANAGER----------------

-------------Please note this is with both monitors pluged in--------
hp pavilion mx75 (monitor Im using) and my other is a SamTron 77V

-Dispay Adapters
---GIGABYTE RADEON 9200
---GIGABYTE RADEON 9200 - SECONDARY

-Monitors
---hp pavilion mx75

---------------------End Information----------------------------

Now this is what I thought yall would need to know I guess...
My SamTron monitor does not show up under Monitors but it does under Display adapters? hmm

And this might help

-(big yellow question mark) Other Adapters
----(big yellow question mark)SM Bus Controller

I have no idea if that has anything to do with this.

My computer is here

This link goes to ---

(my computer)

thanks

AHH! on my settings (Properties>settings) when I have both monitors in it has that drop box

BUT it has

1.hp pavilion mx75 on GIGABYTE RADEON 9200
2.(Default Monitor) on GIGABYTE RADEON 9200 - Secondary

There are 2 check boxes
Use this device as primary monitor
Extend this Windows desktop onto this monitor

the #1. has both checked
the #2 (default Monitor) has neither checked.

Why is #2 the default monitor if primary monitor is not checked?

Turn the computer off, connect both displays, power up, then try it.

Both Monitors are pluged in.. and I tried turning off.. unpluging..pluging back in, turning back on

also tried same thing but when pluging in I switched.. When I switched the OTHER monitor turned on, which makes since of course.

so they both work...Monitors that is.. The one I installed myself is the one that works.. but the card the comp came with is the one I am having doubts about...
