Dual link cards with Dual Monitors

Simple question:

Can you run dual monitors with a dual link card?

I've read up on them and it seems that a dual link card uses two cables, 4 twisted pairs for the first (R,G,B,clock) and one with three (R,G,B). The reason for having it is to have a higher resolution than 1920x1200. You have both of teh DVI cables going to a large monitor (30" or something) so that you can have a 2600x resolution or something...

Now sense one has 4 twisted pairs and one has three... can you use those on different monitors? I don't know what the clock pair does.

I'm assuming it's the same for VGA dual link...

This dude wants dual monitors and he found a video card (VGA) that has two ports and it's dual link. Will it work.

That's all I got out of it.

Um, I don't believe I posted it here... Weird. Can someone move it to hardware? I'll never get an aswer ;)
