Default DUAL INVERTER???parallel wiring?save$$

ok so i need some ac power for my computer in the car. but first i need to know.

how much power will i be using

and if i need to, i firgured i could save money by puting two 375 watts inverters to gether. like run the output lead in parallel. 50 buck x2=100, 600 watts for a tripp lite.

is lenmar any good? look cheap to me. and not alot of specs

well now look at how many watts you will be using on what ever your taking
most modern laptops use 90w power bricks
so keep that in mind
i work at the shack and a lot of people come in asking that question
in my store we have 2 power inverters
the first is a 75w and the other is a 150w
i would go with the 150w to be on the safe side
the more info you can give the more answers you will get
later on

i just need to know if i could wire them like that. and its not a laptop its basically my rig to-go. building entire system into a car shouldnt be more then 400 watts but just in case i need to power more things i should be around 600.

if anyone is interested ill tell you my plans. should all roll loud and clear for no more then 1200

why dont you just go for the gold and build a pc inside your car
wire it into your everything including your engine harness
like this (CLICK ME)
they are commonly called carputers
kinda a lame name IMHO
but here is a great PSU for a car pc
with the right hardware, and the right software
you can make it do anything that you could have ever dreamed
from GPS to bluetooth, and everything in-between
you could even use a sound card and wire the outputs into your car speakers
(sub and all)
which would be really cool
ive looked into doing this myself
it would be pretty cool

You can wire the outputs in parallel to increase the power output. This is possible because the power supplies run from the same common supply - your cars battery.

So if you have two supplies rated at 300W each then you can wire the 12V, 5V and Ground outputs together to double the available power output.

So if you can only find 150W DC ATX psu's then wire as many as you need in parallel to get the power output you need.

but that aplies to the output of inverters too. 115-120AC power. just wire the lead together in parallel
