Default Dual Core Patches

Is there any patches or something for AMD x2 4200 .. because some of my games that my old computer (single core) would run just fun ... but now, they wont even get past the small screen before it runs the game.

wat games? i know for COD2 there is a dual core patch. and did u just transfer the harddrive off ur old pc to ur new one? because it could be controlling ur pc with previous specs like say u have the 4200 now but then u had a single core 3200 it will make ur pc think its still a 3200.

um..i'm using amd x2 3800+ and i get very low fps in games like cs 1.6.. i fix this by going to windows task manager -> processes -> find the game/program -> rightclick set affinity -> uncheck cpu1.. try it.. see if it works.
