Dual Channel

both. They actually both need to be compatable to work together and get the speed boost.

They both need to be dual channel with the motherboard included.

No ram is imcomptable with these motherboards though, and so you could buy normal sticks of RAM and your computer would still be stable.

When buying RAM, it should say. Alot of dual channel RAM comes in packs of 2 :)

Having two different memory sticks that have different speeds like a PC3200 vs PC2700, different manufacturers of the RAM, mismatching RAM with a high performance RAM like a Corsair XMS PC3200 and a Corsair ValueRAM PC3200.

Rule of thumb when going dual channel is get two of the exact same memory stick. Usually come in dual pack.

Understood. I have dual channel already but it is always nice to know how things work . :)

Yep I guess it can, hehe. Surprised anyone can keep up with technology though. No idea how I can do it. I guess this forum helps :D
