Default drm protection

Is there a registry hack or something to turn off drm protection in wmp so i can copy and rip drm protected files

Software called Tunebite will copy those drm files and remove it for you.

Before I close this, isn't removing DRM illegal? I'm seeing yes and no when looking online.

Well it stands for Digital Rights management,so i guess if the distributor has got the legal rights to put the DRM on the music,then theoretically it is illegal.
