Default Driver problems

For some reason my CD/DVD drive wont read disks anymore and i went to properties and it says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" idk y it just started doing it recently. Heres the driver i have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827151136
I already went on samsung website to look for updates but they don't seem to work i am just installing them wrong. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

Its your upper / lower filters causing the problem, heres a fix from microsoft. Oh, and dont worry about the easy cd creator thing if you never had it, these filters can be damaged in other ways, but its the same way to repair them

I tried to delete the file in the Registry Editor and it said "Cannot delete the file : Error while deleting key".

I was going to suggest removing the DVD-RW drive from device manager and then rebooting and letting XP detect and reinstall it.
