Default Dots on screen

On my desktop computer (compaq with amd athlon processor) I seem to be getting white dots on my screen. The funny thing is that they seem to dance around like when I am watching a video on youtube so I know its not dead pixels on my monitor. Anyone have an idea what it could be? Thanks

Hmm. . .

A few things to come to mind. Heat for one. Check to see that all the fans inside are running properly and that any heatsinks are clean of any dust. If it's dirty, give it a good cleaning using a can of compressed air.

Check to see if you have the latest graphics drivers installed.

Check to see if your monitor is running in it's native resolution and refresh rate.
